Blog Changes

You may have noticed some changes here on my blog?  I decided to change the name from Abbey Rose Needleworks to The Homespun Cottage Folk Art & Needleworks.  I wanted something that would be a bit more encompassing.  Although cross stitch is my primary focus, I also sew other Folk Art items such as dolls, cupboard hangers, and an occasional Irish Lace keepsake. So I figured before I open shoppe, and establish a Facebook and Twitter page I better get things just right!  But being proned to keep things in order and consistent as I am, I also changed the url for my blog and now I'm worried I may have made it difficult for previous followers to find me....hopefully not but we'll see what happens.
As a side note, I may be waiting until after the holidays to begin the Ann Gremshaw sampler...I'm trying to finish up Holiday gifts and I think time is just getting the better of me.  But, I'll keep you posted on that subject.

Christmas Ornament

I thought I'd share with you one of my hand-stitched ornaments. This is really an opportunity for me to use my new digital camera...I'm not a tech person but as my daughter told me,  if I'm going to sell my items online I better get acquainted with this whole photo process rather quickly.
I stitch ornaments all year long and add them to my pile for Holiday craft shows.  I usually have about 75 to 100 made up by the time holiday shopping season begins. I tend to use a cotton Christmas print fabric for the back side.  With the cost of linen, I tend to be a bit stingy with it...lol.   I have just one show left this season which is next weekend. Afterwards, I will list whatever ornaments I have remaining online.
